What a privilege the boys had to have this one special sister. Maggie had a smile from ear to ear, that is how I'll remember her.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses frères : Mike, Bob (Susan Keogh), Tony (Carole Lemay) et John; ses nièces et neveux : Alison (Jean François Grégoire), Shane (Marria Buch), Bryce (Vannesa Alfaro), Scott, Mickaël (Gillian Wise), Anthony (Corinne Perreault) et Catherine (Alexis Beaudoin); les membres de la famille de Bob Fuller, son partenaire pendant 17 ans; ainsi que plusieurs arrière-nièces, arrière-neveux et ami(e)s.
Nous nous souviendrons d’elle comme étant une fille, une sœur et une tante aimante, la conjointe de Bob, une enseignante dévouée à ses élèves ainsi qu’une bonne et fidèle amie. Depuis son initiation au curling au secondaire, elle a toujours suivi avec beaucoup d’intérêt ce sport et ce, jusqu’à la toute fin de sa vie. Nous espérons qu’elle pourra encore pratiquer ce sport là où elle se trouve.
La famille désire remercier le personnel de l’hôpital St Michael et Toronto Grace, ainsi que le centre de réhabilitation Bridgepoint pour leur dévouement et leur professionnalisme.

Marguerita Jane (Maggie) Delaney, daughter of Philip John Delaney and Ida Gauthier, passed away on May 18 in Toronto surrounded by love and laughter. She is survived by her four brothers Mike, Bob (Susan Keogh), Tony (Carole Lemay) and John; her nieces and nephews Alison (Jean François Grégoire), Shane (Marria Buch), Bryce (Vannesa Alfaro), Scott, Mickaël (Gillian Wise), Anthony (Corinne Perreault) and Catherine (Alexis Beaudoin); the family members of Bob Fuller, Maggie’s partner of 17 years who predeceased her; as well as many great nieces, great nephews and friends. She lived in Quebec City and Toronto.

Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 11:30 – 2:30, followed by a celebration of her life at the Coopérative.
Maggie will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and partner to Bob, a patient teacher to many students and a good and loyal friend. She was passionate about curling since she was introduced to the sport in high school and followed it until the very end. We are all hoping that Maggie will be able to curl in the afterlife.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the cancer society or hospice of your choice would be welcome.
We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to the medical teams at St Michael’s Hospital, Bridgepoint Rehabilitation Center and Toronto Grace Hospice in Toronto for their excellent care.

Sincere condolences on the loss of your sister. Maggie and I have been friends for over 44 years. We met at the Jacques Cartier curling club. Until her passing we talked at least every two weeks for all that time. I have lost a good friend.

The Leaside Curling Club and the Leaside Lawn Bowling Club will miss Maggie’s skills and warm personality! She made everyone feel like a somebody! When we last talked she said the best thing she ever did was join the Leaside Curling Club. We are so fortunate that she did! Maggie will be in our thoughts when we are in Quebec City curling at the International Bonspiel! She was our cheerleader!

For many years, I , along with many curling friends had the opportunity to curl with Maggie. She was a positive skip and encouraged each team member to do her best. Her sense of humour was always present. Four years ago, I joined lawn bowling at Leaside lawn bowling club. Maggie enjoyed lawn bowling as much as she did curling. Maggie, you will be missed by many! Rest in peace knowing that your friends are thinking about you often.

Having known her for many years when curling in the Quebec Int'l Bonspiel and more recently at the Leaside Curling Club, Maggie graciously took me for practice sessions in preparation for vision-impaired competitive curling events. I met Maggie curling in the womens league at Leaside Curling. Bev Maggie and I
I met Maggie at Leaside curling and and lawn bowling . We often drove together with Bev We also formed a group of ladies "the downtown girls| who would get together for lunch and a seasonal trip to Stratford. Maggie was always cheerful, fun, and always positive. She loved her family and often talked of them She remained so even through her recent illness. I will miss her but remember her fondly.'

We are very sorry for your loss. Maggie was a big part of our family and she will greatly missed.
We will remember all the good times we had with her at the condo and the cottage and her wonderful bolognese sauce. Maggie was lots of fun,kind,generous and a good friend.
We will always be grateful for the wonderful care she gave our father during his last years.
Maggie fought her own illness bravely. I am sorry Covid prevented us from being able to see her more often in the last few years.

Dearest Maggie, How I will miss our visits, our lengthy phone calls, numerous bursts of laughter and even our shared tears.

It is with much regret that both Yves and I are unable to attend Maggie’s celebration in person for health reasons. It pains me twice-fold that I am unable to hold and hug each and every one of you warmly but be assured that I am doing just that as I write this.

In the early 80's, at St. Pat's High School, it was "Miss Delaney" during "Home Economics" class and later in the 2000's, it was "Hey Maggie" at the Château Frontenac during the Bonspiel. I will always remember MARGUERITA as being a "cool", "down to earth", "straight forward", "pratical" person. And by the way MISS DELANEY, thanks again for the "150th St. Pat's Anniversary Reunion" book/program you offered me in 2014. My heartfelt thoughts to Maggie's Family/Friends.
